Andrew Hall's Facebook post proves the FDA messed up:Andrew Hall, a Pocatello, Idaho resident, posted a Facebook post on January 16, 2017 stating, "Well, it's been a really rough 24 hours+ but I feel I have to share. Thank you for my family and especially Airelle for taking care of me but yesterday morning I was getting ready for work when I had something happen to me that I didn't expect possible. I'm currently in the ICU and doing well so rest assured and these are very graphic photos. I Vape (I know, terrible and uncool) but I no longer do and I hope to possibly sway those that do to maybe reevaluate or find other methods of smoking. I've been doing this for about a year now and assure you I did not do anything I wasn't supposed to (battery was in right, always had the shop put it together when I first bought it and add things and maintenance it the right way while taking their advice) but it exploded in my face. I've lost at least 7 teeth, 2nd degree burns to face and neck and have been pulling chunks of plastic, teeth and foreign objects from mouth, throat and lips. I was lucky and there was a huge amount of damage to the room in my house I was in as well. Please feel free to share my story and take care. Thank you again friends, work and family that have reached out to offer help, I greatly appreciate it!" He later updated the post and stated this at the end: "I did revise this to state clearly that before the laws changed yes, it was easier for me to have them build my coils. I did it after the laws changed and did everything myself. I never had any issues with over heating or concerns until the unfortunate happened. I know vapes help people quit smoking cigarettes and that's amazing. I just want to bring to light this is possible that they can explode without warning. I would have said no way that's possible until now. Thank you again for everyone that has not went to the instant this is fake and actually know I'm real, this really happened and I'm blessed this could have been so much worse. Thank you again for those who understand the meaning of this post!" A lot of media outlets are buzzing about this because he says he did everything "right" but in examining his comments to see what on Earth happened, I managed to find out that the build was a 0.06 and that he wasn't changing his builds regularly because the shops were no longer able to build for him anymore. The regulations, imposed by the FDA that went into effect on August 8, 2016, were "supposed" to make vaping safer but in my opinion this accident, clearly, shows that they did nothing but force people to not have the proper help that they previously had received, before the regulations took effect. The photos of Andrew's accident have brought up a lot of controversy, along with his statements of assuring everyone that he "did nothing he wasn't supposed to"...vapers are angry. Why are people asking? Well, in August, when the FDA imposed these regulations on vapers across the country, vape shops were forced to not help people with their vape gear anymore. No longer could vape shops teach how to put batteries in Vape Mode, no longer could they build them safe for customers, or show them how to put together anything they buy. A lot of vape advocates set out to help, but as winter came, setting up to help people outside of shops, became non-existent. These regulations forced people, like Andrew, to use what they had available, which often isn't enough. Battery safety is a huge issue that we face. A certain coil makes for a certain perfect power setting but the batteries are only able to go so high. The LG4's that Andrew was using, are a 20A rating, which means whatever he had for a coil, could only draw 20 amps of power; and he used the 0.06 build, as he later stated in the comments of his Facebook post. He would have required a 70A rated battery, and there is no 18650 battery that is built to take that on alone. This drew too much amperage from the battery, causing the battery to vent and explode, essentially creating a bomb in his hands, very dangerous. The mod he was using, is a style known to the vaping world as a mech mod, and is for only the most advanced vapers with the knowledge of the mathematical skills required to come up with the correct OHM’s Law. There are many apps created that can do the math for you, but if you don't know what you're looking at; it won't help you. You have to have the knowledge associated with it. Sadly, in this case that knowledge wasn't there. It's unfortunate that this is receiving so much buzz, because the news articles aren't talking about these regulations being the cause; they blame it on the Vape and 99.9% of these explosions with Mech mods are from user error. A short can easily make a huge boom. Now, while the FDA's regulations never made much sense to me; I like to imagine they really intended to make it safer in some way...’cause if public safety is not the issue; they had no business messing with the way things were done. If it was safety they were promoting, they gravely failed. They certainly failed in Andrew's case. Now, that we see what not knowing exactly what you are doing can do; I think it has to be said that if you do not understand OHM law, and if you don't understand the way a battery works, and if you don't know how to build the coils, and test them accordingly; then you need to stop vaping immediately. If you are using a Mech Mod (if you don't know what that is, you probably don't have one) and don't know thesr things then, this thing that you are holding is a bomb. You can't keep the same build for months. Builds need to be changed and checked regularly. I, personally, refuse to use my Mech Mod, as a daily vape. I always have a regulated mod for the all day vape...and who knows, maybe that's a safer practice that others could use too. I don't know. But, what I do know is that these accidents, can't get media coverage and tell only half the story. You can't say you did “everything right,” when you know that you didn't know what you were doing. Instead of blaming the vape or the shop; why don't you point the finger at those FDA regulations that took away your ability to use your vape safely, and also at yourself? Because you know that you didn't understand OHMs Law or how to check the resistance of the coil that you were running. These stories get turned into anti-vape photos and stories that don't tell the parts you added, two days after the fact. The truth has to be told, so the government can see what is really going on. The most tragic part of this entire thing was that Andrew did not state what he was using, and in the comments of every post, I saw people were asking if their mod was safe. People were saying that they were scared to take a puff, all because this guy couldn't truthfully, tell the entire story. People setting down devices that are regulated and safe as can be; but because one person decided that he was above safety regulations, and that he didn't want to admit to a newspaper that he messed up, people are scared...and that makes me mad. I feel for Andrew, surely any accident in the community, is unfortunate for everyone. I can assure you that if I had found that he was, in fact, "doing everything he was supposed to," I would be writing a very different article, and I would be 100% on his side. Had what he told major media outlets, been what actually happened; I would be right there to say, wait maybe we didn't know this wasn't safe...but that is not the case. The FDA fucked us and now this guy saying he did everything the right way, screws us too. News outlets don't spend an entire day trolling the comments on this kid’s page (like I did. And, not that the Vaping lingo would've been anything, but foreign to them anyway; but they relied on his story being what happened. God forbid that I ever have a lazy moment, and this happens, but the fact of the matter is that I wouldn't twist the story. I'd say that I was lazy and didn't check my build this morning; I didn't let the batteries cool down. I just put it in, and I didn't build it to suit my battery...I was unsafe and this is what happened. I get that you need help getting your teeth fixed but don't you think that if you had told the truth, your Vape family would have come through for you? ‘Cause we would have. But, to make an already impossible battle THAT much harder for your own pride; now, that's what gets us mad. I don't necessarily condone every comment made to you, but this is why the comments, were so "heartless," as one woman told you; you were unsafe and the FDA fucked you. End of story. Now these major news outlets have millions of hits on this story, and there isn't enough that we can say to show that you omitted the truth. That's the saddest part of this event. The damage that you did to the voters, that don't vape. They rely on us to be smart and safe, so that they can vote to help us. Instead, some 4K+ people tagged someone they love, sheerly out of fear, that their family members or loved one’s ego pen, was going to randomly explode...now that is the sad part of this story. I asked Andrew for his comment but have not received a response. Had the FDA stayed out of the Vaping Industry, this wouldn’t have happened to Andrew, or to anyone else for that matter. It is a shame that this happened and it is a shame that this story was shared 400,000+ times, by people all over the globe. The spread of misinformation is what will make vaping extinct and force so many people to go back to smoking, or to never quit at all. As the only vaper in my entire family, I am constantly hearing about some post or article my family has read that makes them fear vaping. If there is anything you can do to stop spreading misinformation, please don't share the stories that you know to be false; even when it does make you mad and you want to say something. Find stories telling the truth and share those, so that we are educating those people reading. Help your local vapers. Join Facebook groups and offer assistance to those, who need it. Make sure you understand your devices and use them correctly, practice battery safety, everyday. Write the date of purchase on batteries, so you know when it’s time to throw them away. Don't attempt things that you don't understand to the fullest. These are some minor things that we can all do and that can eliminate these stories from happening on our end. Vape Safe! Write your Congress leader and tell him the FDA needs to butt out of vaping...and this is why!!! iJoy RDTA Box Mod ReviewOk so the iJoy RDTA Box Mod is pretty amazing! Its tank holds 12 mL's of juice for all day on the go easy vaping. The box itself is very sturdy feeling, although i have not dropped it on anything but carpet, so that is yet to be determined. I have been playing with it for a week straight now and am very happy. It comes with one prebuilt INC screw on deck with 4 coils and ceramic under each coil for maximum flavor. The rebuildable deck included is easy to build on and fits larger builds surprisingly well. They also offer a lot of after market deck options that are definately worth looking in to. It has 4 function modes; Ni, Ti, SS and Power. It is 3 clicks of the fire button to enter the menu to change these modes according to your prefrence. It also has the same options Smok offered on the Cube where you can control how powerful of hit you take; Normal, Hard, Soft and the User, which allows you to set up your own vape profile very much like the Temp Control on the Sigelei 213 but more advanced and easier to use in my opinion. It has a puff count also like the Cube that can be reset at anytime. The tank has a LED light that lights up when the fire button is pressed that allows you to see how much juice you have left in the tank, and it also looks pretty cool when you vape in the dark. I ended up putting a jwrap on mine but the paint seems durable enough (I just enjoy the customization of jwraps). The mod takes 2, 18650 high drain batteries, I put a set of HE4's in mine and it holds a charge all day and half of the next so it is great on battery consumption. It has a mini usb plug in, but I dont think its made for anything but upgrading software... so do NOT plan to use the usb to charge your batteries. The mod has a nice weight to it and feels really good and comfortable in your hand. Over all on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 9.8, very awesome mod. It could be a tad smaller for easier carrying but thats my onlt real complaint. I would definately pick one up today! I got mine at Element Vape they are $59.99 now! Also if you love my jwrap you can pick up your wrap for almost any mod here: First off what is it about VooDooDrips that makes it not your average Ejuice? Here in Washington State and Colorado along with new states that just passed legal marijuana laws there are current marijuana users and possibly a new generation of people who can medicate in a new and discrete way. I visited a half dozen dispensaries in Spokane, WA and none of them offered anything like what VooDooDrips line of juice does. Voo Doo Drips allows a user to take a concentrated form of marijuana and essentially mix it with some of these GREAT tasting juices to medicate with devices you already own. Concentrated marijuana comes in many forms...shatter and resin butter all being perfect examples of concentrated marijuana. For this review we used a shatter form that normally you would need a special bong style device to smoke. I started by putting 1 dropper of their HoneyDew Melon Flavor and 2 droppers of flavorless, and mixed them in a shot glass I wanted mine to desolve quickly so I put the shot glass in the microwave wave for 20 seconds and stirred it with a toothpick and then poured the liquid into a Sigelei Elf tank and went to town, it worked very well at a llow wattage and never separated! It also worked beautifully in my Nebox and Cupti with high OHM coils and low wattage. No matter the coil it seemed low wattage was the way to go as far as not burning up the THC content. In talking to dispensaries I learned that they offer different types of "ecig" style devices that are supposed to make smoking discrete but they have a shelf life and the mixture can seperate giving the user off "doses" of THC or CBD, as CBD had grown in popularity for its medical benefits with little to no high. Voo Doo Drips opens the door to everyday people who want to medicate or even recreationally use marijuana but don't want to do it where everyone will know they do. I found this product to be so very innovative and a great way to use marijuana products. Everything I mixed not only never separated, even days and days later but also went together easily. One bottle of Voo Doo Drips eliquid will melt down up to 150 grams of marijuana as you only need a small amount of VooDooDrips to break down the concentrate. This also allows you to control how strong you want your dosage of marijuana product to be, which is even cooler. Now that you get really what it does and is let's talk about what it tastes like, there are technically 4 flavors and 1 flavorless. Aura being the flavorless flavor; Mystique (Blueberry), BellaDona (RoseBerry), Delusion (HoneyDew Melon) and Insanity (Banna) being the 4 flavored juices. I tried all of them and found all of them to be wonderful in flavor actually to my surprise as normally CBD or THC normally have very earthy tones, I really thought nothing could go good with that flavor...boy was I wrong! Belladona is a Strawberry Rose flavor and was my #1 favorite if I could only pick one! The strawberry is dominating and the rose must mix with that earthy flavor so well that all you taste is this sweet strawberry AMAZING flavor that you can't even put your finger on, it's just GOOD! I also really enjoyed the HoneyDew Melon flavor of Delusion and I don't even like Melon vapes, but it was very delicious once mixed. Flavorless came in very handy to either down play some of the flavors, dilute the strength of the tank or use solo. Banana was also a favorite at my house, and everyone loved the Blueberry that really pulled awesome flavor out of Sativa strains of BHO. I'm definitely excited to see how this movement blows up! No more giant pieces of shatter being melted on glass, and no more buying CBD that is twice the price of making it yourself like this. After this I'll never buy a permade CBD Ejuice because this makes a much better quality and tasting flavor than any CBD oil I've EVER used! The line drops today for retail and wholesale purchases and I'll include links below to their website and social media page. One thing is for sure, you aren't going to want to miss out on this, the benefits of this are endless and revolutionary! Voo Doo Drips is sure to be on everyone's radar for a VERY long time! Remember you heard it here first and Vape On! Use DripBabe15 for a discount!
The Nebox is Kangertech's older All In One device. It runs at 60 watts and comes with 2 coils and one RBA head. I used the RBA head mostly while reviewing this but also was really impressed with their 0.2 coil. Also it says it's compatible with multiple kinds of Kangertech coils, as far as premade coils go, which is a major plus because that means if you already use one type of Kangertech coil, you can interchange them. The device takes one 18650 battery and seems to do well on battery life. I ran a Eleaf 3000mah battery in mine and it lasted into the evening. It gives you big clouds but you also get to actually give a pull on the device like a real cigarette, making it desirable for people just quitting. Even as an experienced vaper this is a handy device, I like the All In One thing, I enjoy the clouds and the flavor, and it fits perfectly in my back pocket unlike a lot of my other devices. It uses a plastic coin looking item to unscrew the tank and battery housing, which didn't bug me much on the juice housing but on the battery housing it was annoying if you just wanted to switch batteries out instead of using the internal charging. It got old fast. The plastic coin does have a hole drilled into it so I put it on a key ring and kept it close. But, be careful not to let your keys scratch the device while unscrewing it. I purchased a Mighty Skin Decal (Just like a Jwrap but I enjoy the company and customer service) for mine, so that is also something to consider to protect your device if you aren't a fan of silicone sleeves. I found the Nebox to be durable, I purchased the Green Edition and found the paint to not chip easily. I dropped it out of my pick up at the grocery store and it didn't have a scratch on it. The battery screw in thing (lol I know, super technical language, but I can't describe it lol) does chip the black paint pretty easy but a black sharpie fixes it very quickly. Over all I would recommend this device to all vape users. It's great and easy to use for beginners and easily travels and includes the RBA coil for more experienced vapers. It also has the ability to help beginners become coil savvy and learn to build coils once they get use to how the device works, which is also a plus. I know I'll be keeping this one close for a long time. Salted Carmel #24 is one of my Beard Vape Co favorites. #32 is my absolute favorite from them but #24 is a close second. All of Beards line is pretty good and there is something for every flavor profile no matter what you like. There's a Custard With Custard, #51, that's wonderful, a Strawberry Cheesecake, #5, that is heavy on the strawberry for me personally. I couldn't taste much for the graham cracker crust. The Blue Rasberry Hibiscus, #64, tastes a little like the Hibiscus tea from Starbucks but with a stronger Rasberry flavor, that one I personally didn't care for. #88 is a Mint Chocolate that to date is my favorite chocolate vape ever! The very Peach ring flavor of #71 was a good almost sour peach ring flavor but it also had a juiciness to it that was quite nice. The Cherry cheesecake was not my cup of tea, it tasted like those terrible canned cherries you get when you wanna cheat at pie making...it just wasn't for me. Besides those 2 I was quite happy with their line. Actually even the flavors I didn't love, I would still vape if I had them on hand. Beard has been my favorite big vape companies. Plus they have awesome customer service and we're very whitty when I had some issues with one of the bottles. Personally I give points for just being nice because that's not always the case these days. Overall I'd give the Rasberry Hibiscus and strawberry ones I'd give 2 stars because I'd use it if I had to, but the Cherry gets no stars, I can't lie. The others #32, #24, #88, #51 and #71 This is my honest review of Beard Vape Co, it is my opinion and is based solely on the views of myself. This review is for consumer information only and is in no way a deterrent from purchasing the products I don't care for. The only way to really know is to buy and try it for yourself! Their worth it, Vape On!
Dikk Drips, Nikk Drips And TrevoynN's BombSauce one Company Creating Ripples In The inland NW10/14/2016
In the Inland NW we are fortunate to have more than our share of wonderful ejuice suppliers, Dikk Drip ejuice (aka Nikk Drips and their other line Treyvons Bombsauce) is DEFINITELY one of those awesome companies. I asked Nick some questions about the company itself and what Dikk Drips means to him:
What made you want to start making Ejuice? The area at the time was missing Max VG fluid. I want to be able to provide that to people at an affordable price . How did you begin this company and does the name mean anything personal to you? I just did it, with the help of some amazing people of course. The name stemmed off of my nickname Dick and at the time everyone was dripping, so then DIKK DRIPS was born. Who are the founders? Nicholas Cowell, Devyn Adamovich and Ashton Palmer When did you start doing this? July 15 2015 is when it became official. Which of the juices you make is your personal favorite? Blood Bath All day , as well as most of my customers. I love the sweetness of the strawberry and the thickness of the Red Licorice that just completes everything. Which flavor is your best seller/customer favorite? Blood Bath or Malk What percentage of PG and VG are your juices? 80/20 How many locations are your juices in and what are those places? VAP IT! In Post Falls Idaho off of relative. Paradise Hookah Lounge. In cda off of 4th street, CDA Vape. In Coeur d' Alene off of Government Way. Recoil Vape and Espresso. In North Spokane on Hamilton. Wicked Glass in Spokane off Thor Mad Creations In Post Falls off of Pleasant View. Can customers purchase your juices online, if so what is the web address? dikkdrips.com or nikkdrips.com As a small business owner and entrepreneur in the vaping industry what advice would you give to someone thinking of starting their own business? Stick with it. Brand yourself and never give up. It's a long hard road but its always worth it. What is the most important part of selling a vaping product to you? Quality in product. Vaping is something that people do to make it through the day or even the hour; a bad vape experience can happen quick and ruin a day fast. Consistency and quality ingredients is always key because people expect that same enjoyable product everyone. They way it should be. What's your vision for your juice line in the future? To be able to get out there and return the support to the community and be a staple that people can rely on. And then if there is anything you'd really like customers and readers to know about your company that isn't already answered add it here: Don't let the name scare you ! We carry quality Lab made products. And if the name makes you laugh so hard you can't tolerate seeing it on the bottles we offer a Nikk Drips alternative. Despite the nickname Nick is a real stand up guy, his associate Devyn is also a wonderful guy who is always a pleasure to do business with. Beside wonderful juices and unique flavors its always nice to know you're purchasing a product from people who are good too. The company became known initially not just for the great juice but also because Nick was willing to meet or deliver to any customer in the area. The drive and passion this company had is apparent in the community because customers know how Nick got started. I mean how awesome do you have to be to DELIVER! So cool and reminiscent of the company's struggle to get to the top. For myself personally, I had yet to try Dikk Drips (aka Nikk Drips at select locations) or Treyvons Bombsauce, it seemed everytime I would hit the vape shop they would be out of a 6 nic (which we know is what I vape)...but not this time...this time I made sure I got down there the day after the shipment got dropped. Now, I've never been much for fruit vapes, lately they are growing on me though, thanks to flavors like Maincoon or Pompeii from Nikks Line. Maincoon is a pineapple vape and usually with pineapple flavors I have only had very little luck, the first pineapple vape I ever had solid inhale of cat pee and maybe a banana peel exhale lol (sorry for the detail) that is not the case AT ALL with Maincoon...probably the best pineapple vape ever. I also really enjoyed his Floats Maggots which was a Root Beer Float flavor; and the Fetti Wap from the Bombsauce line was a great desert vape. His high VG definitely comes through in the clouds his ejuice makes, its perfect in your vape all day and they transition well in your RDA also, no lingering flavor. Beyond a doubt this Post Falls started company is going places, hopefully big places, in life. The owners passion and the product are sure to push Dikk Drips to be a staple in every vapers house. Dia De La Vape is a name I've heard a lot of since I began blogging, the brand is famous for their specialty flavors and their awesome family oriented owners. It seems that no matter who you talk to in the Ejuice business everyone loves Juan Campos, the owner of Dia De La Vape. A guy who started by selling RBA coils in forums to people who couldn't build, ending up as a Ejuice manufacturer in the same community! He and his wife are beloved by area vapers, that's for sure. They are a huge part of vaping here in the Inland NW, and for this review I had some questions for him, this is what he had to say:
What made you want to start making Ejuice?
I began making ejuice as a hobby, as I am a major flavor chaser. There were certain flavors not available in the “Premium” lines, so I began experimenting on my own. How did you begin this company and does the name mean anything personal to you? I began selling my ejuice with a package of coils, and soon after the juice began to sell alone. From there the company was born, and was soon available in stores. The name translated means Day of the Vape, and I thought it would be a great contrast to so many brands out there, as well as one of the founders being of Latin origin. Who are the founders? Robyn Hirz and Juan Campos founded Dia De La Vape. When did you start doing this? The business was launched in March of 2016. I had started making juice shortly before. Which of the juices you make is your personal favorite? My personal favorite is either Luchador’s Custard or Carmel Flan. I love desert flavors and those hit a great balance, especially the Luchador’s Custard. It is just the right amount of sweetness, richness and fruit. Which flavor is your best seller/customer favorite? We have several best sellers, but the two most popular are Luchador’s Custard and Tigers Blood. Blue Piñata is close behind the others for top spot. What percentage of PG and VG are your juices? Most Dia De La Vape juices are 85%VG / 15%PG, with a couple exceptions. How many locations are your juices in and what are those places? Dia De La Vape is available in 5 locations: Vap It – Post Falls, ID Mad Creations Vapes – Post Falls, ID CDA Vape – Coeur d’Alene, ID Lilac City Vapor – Spokane, WA Green Dragon Vapor – Cheney, WA Can customers purchase your juices online, if so what is the web address? Currently Dia De La Vape can be purchased in store or through our Facebook at facebook.com/diadelavape. As a small business owner and entrepreneur in the vaping industry what advice would you give to someone thinking of starting their own business? Starting your own business is an exciting and gainful endeavor. Not only financially, but also on a personal level. It allows so much knowledge and joy to be passed among a great community of people. What is the most important part of selling a vaping product to you? Knowledge is power, and this doesn’t ring more true than in the vaping industry. With so many products to choose from, there is much to be learned about each. From ejuice (where everyone has a different palette), to batteries all must be learned and appreciated to gain the most full and successful experience when vaping. What's your vision for your juice line in the future? Dia De La Vape will continue to grow in the Inland Northwest, and be available at more locations. Dia De La Vape translated, Day Of The Vape a very creative and cool name and a creative company. Customers love Juan and Robin and their passion for customers and people, it's so wonderful to see a family ran business growing in our community . The flavors are very unique and remind me of being a young girl in Reno, NV and going to our neighbors houses; having good Hispanic dessert made from scratch. Flavors like Horratcha (a chocolate milk with a cinnamon after taste). For this review I specifically asked for the best sellers as the flavor list is quite long (and can be found on their Facebook page). I first tried the blue Piñata a Blue Rasberry flavor that produced big clouds and was a nice candy vape, with a very clean exhale. Luchadors Custard is a strawberry Custard flavor that has a very nice sweet strawberry flavor with a light Custard exhale. I'm quite picky when it comes to my dessert vapes and I was not let down by their Carmel Flan! As I recently was vaping a very popular salted Carmel flavor, I had very high expectations...you can taste the cooked Carmel, you know the dessert that when you tap on it with a spoon it melts out Custard, that's what flan is and in their juice the Carmel mixed with the flan was my personal favorite! There is no doubt I have a lot of flavors left to try, but my next trip I know what I want to try next for sure. The Inland NW is lucky to have juicers like Juan and Robin, customers will keep coming back as long as their at the helm. They are surely a company to keep up with, and will continue to be wonderful advocates for the vaping industry. I look forward to what the future holds for my Inland NW juicers! Stay Drippy Juice Co...A man with a dream for his Mom makes it a business and makes it delicious!10/9/2016 Lucas Allinger and Stay Drippy's Beginning...
A few months ago I sat down with Lucas, the owner of Stay Drippy Juice Co, at a Starbucks here in Spokane to get a couple samplers not knowing anything about Stay Drippy Juice Co or him; I left there that day with a smile because Lucas was what I love about vapers, they are legit and caring and just want to help people find flavors they'll like so that they can choose a healthier option to smoking. I could tell Lucas picked me the flavors he thought I would like the best, and I poured a tank in the parking lot of that Starbucks and with the first hit of his juice "Dream" (a orange creamy treat) I was hooked! Since that day I have had nothing but wonderful things to say about Stay Drippy. There is something so important about not only a great product but a great owner that makes you loyal to the core with those companies and here in Spokane we are blessed with a handful of those and that's what the point of this is, to show you, my readers, who may not be from Washington or Idaho and don't know what these smaller juice companies are about. No they don't do big advertising because word of mouth is their advertising, so they are kind and nice and passionate as hell about what they do. I asked Lucas to answer some questions to have you get to know him the way that I do.... here's what he had to say:
What made you want to start making Ejuice? I began crafting E-liquid in 2012 to help my mother quit smoking, as the juice that was availible in stores at the time was too expensive, and contained high amounts of Propylene Glycol (PG). After making e-liquid for some time, i became infatuated with the challenge of creating unique flavor varieties that would blend well in a 100% vegetable glycerin base. How did you begin this company and does the name mean anything personal to you? The company slowly began after several years of crafting for my close friends and family. Contracting an FDA-approved manufacturer to re-create our recipes was the first and most important step to launching the official business, and after that we were able to begin working with the community on a much deeper level. "Stay Drippy" means a lot to our team. The name was created as a take on the pop-culture term "Stay Trippy", as i wanted the brand to embody the creative, loving, and psychedelic energy from the Pacific Northwest. Furthermore, "Stay Drippy" also reflects the goal of the company, to promote the use of vaporizers over conventional tobacco, and to keep our customers satisfied with the tobacco-alternatives availible from the brand. Who are the founders? I'm the founder and sole proprietor, but the venture would not have been possible without the support i've received from Spokane's community, and local businesses. When did you start doing this? I began crafting e-liquid in 2012, but the official brand did not hit stores until February of 2016. Which of the juices you make is your personal favorite? My personal preference is dependent almost entirely on the season. Our aromatic fruit blend, "Summer's Haze" is my top pick for the warmer months, and i tend to gravitate toward our Apple Crumble flavor, "Afgoo", as it starts to cool down during the fall and winter. Which flavor is your best seller/customer favorite? "The Ice" has been one of our best sellers this year, and it's best described as a unique combination of strawberry, tropical fruits, and icy throat hit! What percentage of PG and VG are your juices? All of the juices from our company are 80%+ VG, with the lowest VG content sitting at 82/18 (VG/PG), and the highest VG content at 90/10 (VG/PG). How many locations are your juices in and what are those places? The brand is currently availible at "Wicked Glass" in Spokane, and the four "Sublime Vapor" locations throughout Spokane and Oregon. Can customers purchase your juices online, if so what is the web address? Our products are currently availible online at www.sublime-vapor.com/products/stay-drippy-juice-co-30ml-e-liquid As a small business owner and entrepreneur in the vaping industry what advice would you give to someone thinking of starting their own business? The greatest lesson i've learned is that a starting business will take all of your time, and energy. While this would seem grueling to most, the experience is truly priceless. To prospective entrepreneurs, be prepared to make this investment, and let your love for the industry be your motivation. There were countless days where i felt like i had to give up, but focusing on my love for the community never ceased to drive me through the worst of it. What is the most important part of selling a vaping product to you? The most important part of working in this industry is the impact we're making on the community. Anyone could sell any product and call it a business, but it's truly a blessing to be able to provide products that are helping individuals change their lives for the better. What's your vision for your juice line in the future? I try not to let my vision get too far ahead of the current state of affairs, but i hope that i'm able to continue evolving the brand to better suit the needs of our community.
Besides being a great guy, his juices are amazing! They are great for people who like to do smoke tricks and also have a wonderful unique flavor. Sometimes a lot of juices taste like another more popular one, that's not the case here. All of Stay Drippy Juice Co's juices are not something you've ever had. My personal favorites are Trainwreck and Dream, both a fruity vape and I am actually more of a dessert vape lover, but these are all so good that I can't put them down. The will to want to save his mothers life became a passion and company that very well could be what saves many lives as Lucas continues to listen to the vaping community and doing what he can to advocate for the vaping industry... you owe it to yourself to grab a bottle, I guarantee that there will be something that you like because he has something for everyone. A perfect example of "The Inland Northwest's Best".
UPDATE: As of October 14th Stay Drippy has released a fall/winter set of flavors and a new label. The flavors are out of this world and will not disappoint! Keep an eye out for this up and coming vaping company!
So we all know how bummed we were when technical reviews were released about the Sigelei 213 and how angry we were....the j150 is what Sigelei should have replaced all our "off" 213's with. It has all the same preheat functions and menus (please see my review of the Sigelei 213 for in depth explanation of how to use the menus and preheat functions, I'll put a link at the bottom)...but it has a internal lipo battery inside with ultra long battery life and it ensures that every customer has the correct batteries to get the max wattage, as that is what Sigelei sighted for why the 213 didn't hold up in tech tests. This J150 has a great feel to it, the 213 felt a little like it may be cardboard, this doesn't feel like that at all. I thought I would never own a Sigelei device again after the last but this J150 has restored my faith. It has a very durable 510 connection with good push back on the spring. It also has an ON and OFF button that the 213 was lacking. The Elf tank that comes in the kit is a very nice little tank, it reminds me of the Moonshot RDA but without all the leaking or dry hits. This is a very nice device that does in fact do 150 watts, you can just feel the difference when setting the 213 and J150 up on the same settings, the J150 performs the way I expected the 213 to. This device completely reprieves Sigelei in my eyes, now if they could make something similar in hot pink, that'd be my ideal lol. I'll post a bunch of pictures so you can see the functionality.
I posted this months ago but apparently I never hit publish so I cropped out the 213 that was once in the photo lol. Anyhow, 75 watts is more than enough on this sweet little device. The RX75 not only has a cool design it performs like a CHAMP! Let's start with some photos to show how to operate the doors on this device. The front screen has a protector over where you adjust the wattage, I upgraded my stock black one to the see through black one that comes in the kit. This allows you to see through to the screen easily. I also use the Wismec Theorem in rotation with the great Armor sub ohm tank that came with it. The device fires by squeezing the back battery plate and also has a switch that can be flipped to prevent accidental firing if you wanna carry it in your pocket. It takes one 18650 and does good on battery life at about 55 watts, which powers the Armor tank included in the kit perfectly. The tank has great flavor and looks great on pretty much every mod I own as well. This device is great for people who are notoriously dropping their mods, its beyond durable. I've dropped it on asphalt and cement on accident so many times and the picture above I took last week and I got this the week Wismec released it back in June. It's a great mod!
